Introduction to the Origins of Pseudo-Islaamic Black Cults in America

The Origins of Pseudo-Islaamic Black Cults in America

Verily all praise is due to Allaah, Who we praise, we seek assistance and forgiveness from. We seek refuge with Allaah from the evil of our own souls and from the mischief of our own actions. Whomever Allah has guided no one can lead him astray, and whomever Allaah has allowed to be led astray; none can guide him. I bear witness that no deity has the right to be worshipped in truth except Allaah, Alone and without any partners, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and final Messenger.

For some years now I have been planning to put together a concise and comprehensive in depth serial examining the origins of pseudo-Islaamic black cults in America but lacked a lot of the resources and time to do so. All praise is due to Allaah who has allowed us to begin the completion of this task.

Our focus will be on the following groups in order:

1. The Qadiyyanees (Ahmadee Movement in Islaam)
2. The Nation of Islaam (Elijah Muhammad’s Group)
3. The Five Percenters
4. The American Muslim Mission – albeit to a lesser extent.

It is our goal and objective to present this information by outlining the main tenets of faith that nullify ones Islaam and expel one from its fold. Often a principle will be established consisting of a foundational matter (Usool ud-Deen) with its proofs provided then followed by texts proving that the leaders of the aforementioned groups diverge from those foundational matters with a clear departure.

It is not our intent to examine every single individual matter exemplifying the aforementioned groups departures as that would take years of research due to their (the groups) copious departures and their bottomless expansive extensions and explanations. Also this serial may briefly discuss other groups that are connected to the three mentioned above.

The bulk of this work is taken from three primary sources:

1. Things that Nullify One’s Islaam – by Shaykhul-Islaam Muhammad ibn ‘Abdul-Wahhaab explained by the Scholar Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan and translated by Moosaa at-Taweel
2. Quadianis are not Muslims – by Darul-Hadyan Publishers & Distributors, slightly adapted.
3. The Abridged Tafseer Ibn Katheer (English) – by Dar-us-Salaam Publishers

I ask Allaah to guide the followers of the above groups to the Sunnah and I ask Allaah to make this deed solely seeking His Face.
