Adhering to the Sunnah: A Gathering between Shaykh Muhammad ibn Haadee and the Canadian Students of Madeenah

 as salam ‘alaykum wa rahmatullaah,

Below is a portion of what Shaykh Muhammad ibn Haadee said at a sitting between the Canadian students in Madeenah.

Shaykh Muhammad ibn Haadee (may Allaah preserve him) said:

During these times that we live in, those who speak have become numerous; those who speak with knowledge, truth and adherence [to the Book and the Sunnah], those who speak with desires and evil intentions, and those who speak with ignorance. All three groups are present, and the callers to falsehood are more plentiful.

 

Do not be deceived that a caller to falsehood is praised, has degrees or a high status in the life of this world, because this is of no significance. What is of significance is whether his speech is in accordance to the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, may the Salaat and Salaam be upon him, and what his righteous Caliphs and companions were upon – may Allaah be pleased with them all.

Two Unexpected Great Blessings in One Night

 As-salam ‘alaykum wa rahmatullaah,

 And it is He Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy (rain). Till when they have carried a heavy-laden cloud, We drive it to a land that is dead, then We cause rain to descend thereon. Then We produce every kind of fruit therewith. Similarly, We shall raise up the dead, so that you may remember or take heed. (Al-A’raf 7:57) 

Yes, I’m still Alive…

 as salam ‘alaykum wa rahmatullaah,

I know it has been a long time since I wrote. The end of Ramadhan was amazing, my family, some freinds and I got to go to Madeenah and for Taraweeh one of the people we got to pray behind was Shaykh Hudhayfee. It was clear he had a cold but you could tell it was still him.

Seeing the Muftee…

 as salaam ‘alaykum wa rahmatullaah,

On Tuesday Shaykh Muhammad Maalikee called me; I was surprised because he was one of the speakers at the Uthmaan Ibn ‘Affaan Educational Seminar and because I don’t usually receive phone calls from a Shaykh. He mentioned two of the brothers there had asked for me and wanted to extend the salaams to me, masha’Allaah. Then he asked me, “Are you going to see the muftee tonight?” I was surprised and I said, “I’ll need a ride.” He said, “Call brother H. he is going.” When I called the brother, he wasn’t sure if he was going and said he would call me back. Finally he called me back and we were set to go, I was a little sad because I couldn’t fit my family in the car but I didn’t want to miss this opportunity, my family encouraged me to go, so off I went.

Jeddah Dawrah & Shaykh Fawzaan now in Jeddah!

 As salaam alaykum wa rahmatullaah,

The Jeddah Dawrah was very nice, masha’Allaah. The Shuyookh in attendance were: Shaykh Ubayd al-Jabiree, Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Haadee, Shaykh Alee at-Tuwayjree, Shaykh Ibraheem ar-Ruhaylee, and Shaykh Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdul-Wahaab al-’Aqeel. Shaykh Muhammad al-Malikee was present some of the mornings reading poetry and in the evenings he was posing questions to the Shuyookh with brother Fuaad al-Amree and other students.
